What I do

About me:

My history in the 3D business: Since 2003, I’ve worked as a 3D artist specializing in Environments and props for the movie, TV commercial and the game industry.  Based out of Los Angeles and for a while in San Francisco I’ve worked on such movies as,Guardians of the Galaxy, Terminator Salvation, 2012, Sorcerers Apprentice, Barnyard, G-Force, Duplicity, Tekken and a few others. Video Games I’ve worked on include, NBA 2K7, NBA 2K8 and All Pro Football 2K8.

Second Life :

As Loz Hyde, I’ve been in SL since 2006.  In 2012, when MESH first came to SL I was so excited, finally no more building with legos!   It was in that first year that I created the brand MESHWORX and brought my 3D knowledge skills from the Real World into the virtual world.


I was one of the first 6 creators to be invited into Sansar back in September 2016.  Sansar, created by Linden Lab then sold to Wookey Technologies, has had a bumpy ride, but is it’s still dear to my heart.   It’s where I met my wife made great friendships with the residents and staff over at Linden Lab especially CEO Ebbe Altberg RIP.

How I do it

I use Maya to model, and bake lighting, using Arnold.

Photoshop, Substance Painter and Crazy Bump for texturing.

I also use many of my own photographs when creating textures.
